The market for digital procurement of business financing is till in an early stage, and strong growth is expected in the coming years. Through the acquisition of assets from Fakturino, Krea cements its position as the largest specialized financing service for businesses. Via Krea's platform, more companies will now gain easy access to financing with the best possible terms.

Digital business financing services are expected to become a billion-krona market in the coming years

According to Statistics Sweden (SCB), the annual volume of new and refinanced business loans below 10 million SEK amounted to 315 billon SEK in Sweden in 2020. Today, however, only 1 percent of business loans are arranged through digital financing services, but the market is expected to grow tenfold in the coming years. This forecast is partly based on similar developments in Germany and the United Kingdom, where digital procurement of business loans already accounts for more than 5 percent of the market, as well as on the fact that the comparison market for consumer loans in Sweden represents approximately 60 percent of total loan volume.

Through the transaction, Krea gains leverage on its digital platform and can accelerate its growth

Through the acquisition of assets from Fakturino, such as its digital platform, brand and the intention to assume Fakturino's invoice purchasing agreements, Krea becomes the largest digital procurement platform for both business loans and invoice purchasing. Since its inception, Krea has made significant investments in developing its digital platform, making it easy for entrepreneurs to access financing with the best possible terms. Through the acquisition, Krea will be able to support even more companies while further scaling its platform.

Over the years, Fakturino has built a strong position in the market for invoice purchasing procurement, and we are very pleased that parts of Fakturino's operations are becoming part of Krea. Through combining Fakturino's established relationships with invoice financing lenders and Krea's scalable platform for business loans, we can accelerate even faster toward becoming the leading financing service for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Nordic region.

Krea is the largest specialized player in business financing

Krea is today the largest specialized player in digital procurement of business loans in Sweden. Unlike providers that also compare consumer loans, Krea offers both fully digital processes for smaller loans below 4 million SEK as well as more tailored advisory services for financing above 4 million SEK.

We see that terms are the most important decision factor for companies when choosing business financing, and our customers choose us because they feel they can obtain better terms through turning to a specialized provider rather than consumer-loan comparison sites, which often promote quick loans.
